London, 23 May - Donald Trump has rightfully taken every opportunity to blast the Iranian Regime and its aggressive behaviour during his inaugural trip to Saudi Arabia and Israel, and Trump’s comments certainly appear to have unified the US allies in the region, who are constantly threatened by the Iranian mullahs.

London, 23 May - The leader of the Iranian Resistance has publically welcomed the positions adopted by the Arab Islamic American Summit regarding the conduct of the Iranian Regime.

Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) noted that the Iranian Regime has done nothing but undermine peace in the Middle East and further afield, since its formation in 1979.

London, 19 May - As a result of Iran regime’s Revolutionary Guards’ (IRGC) interference, Demands by the family of a political prisoner for transferring him to hospital in order to receive medical care has proved useless.

The transfer has been conditioned on several terms, including accompaniment of IRGC soldiers from Thar-allah headquarters during the treatment process, and medical care being exclusively undertaken at Baghiatallah hospital affiliated to IRGC with no visits in the hospital.

London, 19 May - In the final day or so before the so-called presidential “election” in Iran between incumbent President Hassan Rouhani and Ebrahim Raisi, a cleric with close ties to the Supreme Leader, the scene on the ground is far different from the portrait painted by the regime’s state-run media and some western outlets.

The vast network of dissidents supporting the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has come alive in unprecedented scale to voice the true feelings of the Iranian people about the candidates and the regime in its entirety.

Iran Focus

London, 23 May - Last Friday, the Iranian Regime held its ‘elections’ and Hassan Rouhani emerged the victor but despite the claims of the ruling mullahs, this is not a victory for either the Iranian people or democracy.

Shahriar Kia, an Iranian dissident and political analyst, wrote an op-ed for the Daily Caller where he revealed that the so-called elections do not represent the views of the Iranian people but the decision of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran Focus

London, 18 May - A prominent US lawmaker said that there are no elections in Iran because the Regime decides the victor, not the people.

Joseph Lieberman, who was a Democratic Senator from Connecticut between 1989 and 2013, compared the Iranian process to that used by the US and France and assessed that the Iranian election was not a democratic one.

Iran Focus

London, 22 May - Donald Trump accused Iran of fuelling the “fires of sectarian conflict and terror” in the Middle East, during a speech on Islam in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

Trump, who is on his inaugural foreign visit, gave this speech to the Arab Islamic American Summit in Riyadh, one day after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was‘re-elected’ to serve a second term.

Iran Focus

London, 18 May - A lot has been said about the Iranian elections but far too many think-pieces and op-eds are focusing on the differences between the two main candidates without identifying that that real power lies not with the President, but with the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

Iran Focus

London, 22 May - Hassan Rouhani was the victor of the so-called elections in Iran, last Friday, and will serve a second term as President of the Iranian Regime, but as many Iranian experts have pointed out, this changes nothing about the Regime.

Heshmat Alavi, a human rights activist, wrote an op-ed for Al Arabiya, in which he assessed that following Rouhani’s‘re-election’, the most important issue was ending Iran’s destructive influence on the Middle East.

Iran Focus

London, 18 May - The Trump administration imposed a new set of sanctions on Iran and its ballistic missiles programme, on Wednesday, but for now, the 2015 nuclear agreement remains intact.

The White House has also increased other sanctions against Iran that were still in place but relaxed.

Iran Focus

London, 22 May - Donald Trump used his first keynote speech abroad to criticise the Iranian Regime for supporting the Syrian dictator, Bashar al-Assad, in his crimes against his own people and for Iran’s support for terrorism.

While addressing the leaders of Arab and Muslim-majority nations at the Arab Islamic American Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he said: “There is a regime that is responsible for so much instability in the region. I am speaking, of course, of Iran. From Lebanon, to Iraq, to Yemen, Iran funds arms and trains terrorists and other extremist groups.”

Iran Focus

London, 18 May - The Iranian Regime is preparing to enforce repressive measures against any citizens who protest this Friday’s presidential elections.

Some reports indicate that security service personnel have been doubled in the past few weeks, as the Regime fear a protest on the scale on the 2009 Green Revolution, when the election result was said to be faked.

Iran Focus

London, 20 May - The corrupt Iranian system is weaker than it has ever been following the sham presidential election. Internal disputes prove that the regime is divided and is beyond repair.

The President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, said that a second term for Hassan Rouhani will not bring any change to Iran. The regime will continue to supress the people and its failure at resolving the social problems in the country will become more and more evident.

Iran Focus

London, 17 May - Some political commentators in the US have been floating the idea that it would be better for the West if Iran ‘elects’ a so-called hard-line candidate in this Friday’s election because Western Governments could no longer deceive themselves about Iran’s true nature.

Iran Focus

London, 19 May - John Bolton, the prominent diplomat and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations sat down for an exclusive interview with the Voice of America's Persian service just days before the presidential election in Iran.

He said, “If free elections were held in Iran, Ayatollahs would be the losers.”

In an interview on May 17th, the former Undersecretary of State for International Security said, “I think the difference between moderates and extremists is a lie because only those can run for election whom pass Guardian Council’s screening and meet supreme leader’s approval.”

Iran Focus

London, 17 May - Right now, we are in the final days before the Iranian elections and as such, there has been quite a lot of debate over the future President in Western media. The analysts and journalists have asked what this will mean for Iran and the world as a whole; far too many have peddled the false narrative of moderates and hardliners, while far too few have gone so far as to say that it doesn’t matter who the President is because the Regime will not allow change.
