Hezbollah

Iran Focus

London, 10 Dec - Lebanon has still not been able to form a government, thanks to the obstructionist efforts of Iran-backed Hezbollah, despite the fact that Hezbollah holds the majority of the seats. Hezbollah wants to prevent the formation of the Lebanese government in order to better serve their Iranian masters who want to leave the country, and by extension the Middle East in a state of limbo.

Iran's militias

London, 8 Dec - According to a report released last week, long-held suspicions in the Gulf about Iran’s regional intentions have been confirmed: Tehran has no intention of curbing its meddling and negative influence in the Gulf region. London, 3 Dec - Today, a small New Jersey law firm and an Arkansas lawyer are attempting to hold Iran to account in federal court for the death or injuries of more than 1,000 US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2004 to 2011.

It is the start of a three-day trial, presided over by US District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, where Iran stands accused of supplying $10 billion in weapons, materials, training and other support that directly led to the death or injury of US service personnel.

New fears over Iran arming Hezbollah

Iran Focus

London, 4 Dec - Reports of an Iranian cargo plane carrying advanced weaponry landing at Beirut International Airport in Lebanon has fuelled speculation in the media and among officials that Iran is continuing to arm the terrorist group Hezbollah.

According to reports, the cargo plane, owned and operated by Fars Air Qeshm, was spotted flying directly from Tehran to Beirut on Thursday morning. The report advises that Iran has long been supplying Lebanon’s Hezbollah with advanced munitions by shipping them through civilian airlines, which is why many of Iran's civil airlines are under US sanctions.

London, 3 Dec - Many in the Middle East and the West have devoted significant attention to Iran’s expansionist policies, which is an important step, but political scientist Dr Majid Rafizadeh argues that more attention needs to be paid to the Regime’s cyber warfare programme, which has a direct and indirect impact on global security.

That’s why we’re going to look at the programme and the threat it poses in detail here.
