ANKARA, Sept 27 (Reuters) – Turkey expects to sign an agreement with Iran in October naming the companies to take part in their natural gas deal, Turkish officials said on Thursday.

Iran and Turkey have signed a preliminary agreement to pump Iranian gas to Europe via Turkey. The United States has asked NATO ally Turkey to halt energy cooperation with Iran due to concerns over Tehran’s nuclear programme.
