MILAN Feb 3 (Reuters) – Italy’s imports of crude oil from Iran, its second-biggest supplier, came in at 9.5 million tonnes in the first 11 months of 2010, despite political instability in Iran, Italy’s industry group Unione Petrolifera (UP) said.

UP did not give a year-ago comparison in its newsletter published on Wednesday.

Imports of oil from Iran to Italy surged 92 percent year-on-year in the first 10 months of 2010, UP said last month.

Total crude oil imports in Italy amounted to 65 million tonnes in the January-November period of last year, UP said on Wednesday.
