Tehran, Iran, Jan. 22 – Iranian authorities in the province of Lorestan, western Iran, hanged a man in public on Tuesday, state media reported.

The man, only identified as Hamed P., was hanged in a public square in the city of Khorramabad, the official news agency IRNA said.

He was accused of murder.
