Tehran, Iran, Dec. 26 – Iran’s State Supreme Court upheld a death sentence for a man in the town of Varamin, near Tehran, according to a state-run daily.

The daily Hamshahri reported on Sunday that the man, only identified by his first name Aghil, was sentenced to death by hanging.

The sentence is expected to be carried out soon.
