Tehran, Iran, Jan. 02 – A court in Iran sentenced a young man to amputation of his hand, flogging, and jail time, a state-run daily reported on Monday.

The unnamed man was charged with repeated burglary, the daily Iran wrote.

The Tehran court sentenced the man to 40 lashes in public and three and a half years in prison. It also decreed that one of the hands of the 32-year-old man be amputated as retribution for his alleged crimes.
