Iran Focus: Tehran, Iran, Dec. 27 – Some 600,000 people are sent to prison each year in Iran, a state-run news agency reported on Tuesday. Iran Focus

Tehran, Iran, Dec. 27 – Some 600,000 people are sent to prison each year in Iran, a state-run news agency reported on Tuesday.

Mehr News Agency also said that at any given time the prison population was approximately 158,000.
