Tehran, Iran, Apr. 29 – Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) chief Ali Larijani has arrived in Baghdad for talks with senior Iraqi leaders ahead of a meeting on Iraqs security on May 3-4 in Sharm al-Sheikh, Egypt.
Larijani was welcomed at Baghdad International Airport by his Iraqi counterpart Shirvan al-Vaeli.
The unannounced visit will last for three days.
Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Barham Saleh was expected in Tehran on Sunday. Irans state-run news agencies have reported that Salehs trip has been cancelled.
