Over the past weeks, the bases of the Shiite militias known as Popular Mobilization Forces were attacked by airstrikes. Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis told in a statement the U.S was responsible for a series of attacks on the bases run by the militias. But immediately Faleh Al-Fayyadh said that the statement holds by his deputy did not represent the view of these forces. An official with the brigades told that Iran played a direct role in wording the statement issued by Al-Muhandis on Wednesday.

The leader of Iranian-backed militias in Iraq, Qais Al-Khizali, threw his weight behind Al-Muhandis, tweeting: “The PMF statement is spot on. Anyone who thinks to target the security of Iraq once again must beware that Iraq is no longer the same. It has the full ability to defend itself.”

And now after this, an Iraqi parliament member “Karim Al-Olivi” said that the Islamic Republic of Iran can help Iraq to secure their air!

He told to “Baghdad Al-Yom” that the air of both countries are shared and they are faced with the same enemy, so they’re able to use the force of the Iranian air defense to power up Iraq’s air defense. He continued that Islamic Iran has the most powerful air defense in the area, and the best sign for this is the down taking off the U.S drone!

Baghdad Al-Yom continued that “Mehdi Rabani” Deputy of Iraq’s chief of staff, told that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to give Iraq defense support in a wide range of ground, naval and air defense.

But Iran told that they will support only if Iraq cancels their strategic agreement with the U.S!

Until now the Iraqi government didn’t recognize this suggestion.
