Tehran, Iran, May 25 – Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki is due in Baghdad on Friday, the government-run news agency Fars reported on Thursday.

Mottaki will meet and hold talks with Iraqi officials including President Jalal Talabani and newly-installed Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki during the trip, the report said.

He may also meet with Iraq’s prominent Shiite cleric Ayatollah Ali Sistani.

The Iranian Foreign Minister is currently is Islamabad holding talks with Pakistani officials.
