The IMF and the World Bank are to hold their annual meeting on April14-15 in the U.S. capital.
Ebrahim Sheibani is scheduled to deliver a speech on the state of Iran’s banking system at the meeting. He will also hold talks with the heads of numerous other states central banks, the report added.
Sheibani recently wrote to the heads of more than 50 central banks and international monetary institutions, defending the activities of Irans Bank Sepah which has been under UN Security Council sanctions since March for fears that it had ties to Irans missile and nuclear weapons programs.
