Tehran, Iran, Nov. 28 – Iran launched on Wednesday on its southern shores its second domestically-produced light submarine, state media reported.

The submarine can simultaneously fire torpedoes and missiles, the government-owned news agency Fars said without specifying their range.

The new light submarine is “equipped with advanced weapons and electronics systems”, he said.

The submarine has been named “Ghadir”.
