Tehran, Iran, Feb. 02 – An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale jolted parts of the island of Hendurabi in the Persian Gulf early on Saturday.

The quake occurred at 09:03 am local time (05:33 GMT), the official news agency IRNA reported.

There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage to property.
