Sept. 8 (Bloomberg) — Iran agreed to build 30,000 housing units in Nigeria at a total cost of $1.71 billion, Iran Daily reported, citing an official.

Based on the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries, Iran will construct the units "in the next four years" for use by low and medium income households, the newspaper said, citing a Nigeria's ambassador to Iran, Alhaji Abubakar Cika.

The deal was agreed between the Nigerian Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and Iranian building company Customer Centric Contractor, the Tehran-based daily said.
