Tehran, Iran, Jan. 10 – Iranian archaeologists have discovered prehistoric clay tablets beneath the ancient Shoghali Tappeh site near the city of Varamin

The tablets date from the Elamite Period and will now be studied with Jacob Dahl of Oxford University, according to Morteza Hesari, head of the archaeology team.

“The team also found a number of seals which are new in design and different from the previous finds,” Hesari said on Friday.
