Tehran, Jan. 05 – An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale struck areas of Baravat in the southern province of Kerman, state media reported.
 
The quake struck at 22:24 local time (18:54 hours GMT), the state-run news agency IRNA reported on Tuesday.
 
There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage to property.
