Tehran, Sep. 29 – Goldsmiths in the north-western city of Ardebil have staged a strike that they say will continue until 5 October.

Jewellery stores in the city’s Bazaar and elsewhere in the city were shut on Tuesday.

Jewellers and goldsmiths have said they will continue the strike until the new laws on Value Added Tax (VAT) are annulled.
