AFP: Fourteen people were killed and six others injured when
a minibus colided with two trucks in southern Iran, the state news agency IRNA reported Monday.
According to a provincial police official, Rasoul Dehghani, the accident occurred Sunday when the minibus veered out of its lane and crashed into two heavy vehicles on a road between the towns of Bandar Abbas and Minab. AFP

TEHRAN – Fourteen people were killed and six others injured when a minibus colided with two trucks in southern Iran, the state news agency IRNA reported Monday.

According to a provincial police official, Rasoul Dehghani, the accident occurred Sunday when the minibus veered out of its lane and crashed into two heavy vehicles on a road between the towns of Bandar Abbas and Minab.

Eleven people died on the spot and another three later in hospital, he said.

Iran’s roads rank among the most dangerous in the world, with some 100,000 accident deaths in the past five years.
