Over 1,000 books missing from Iran’s parliamentary library

Iran Focus: Tehran, Iran, Jan. 15 More than 1,000 books went missing from the library of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) prior to the February 2004 parliamentary elections in Iran, it has been claimed.

Tehran, Iran, Jan. 15 More than 1,000 books went missing from the library of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) prior to the February 2004 parliamentary elections in Iran, it has been claimed.

The government-owned news agency Mehr quoted on Saturday former Majlis deputy Mohammad Mohammad-Reza’i as saying that the books had been removed by the Majlis Library’s management because of their political content, although no official explanation had been given.
