Tehran, Iran, Jan. 15 – More than 1,000 books went missing from the library of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) prior to the February 2004 parliamentary elections in Iran, it has been claimed.

The government-owned news agency Mehr quoted on Saturday former Majlis deputy Mohammad Mohammad-Reza’i as saying that the books had been removed by the Majlis Library’s management because of their political content, although no official explanation had been given.
