London, Sep. 19 – The following picture ran on the front page of the London-based Arabic daily Asharq al-Awsat on Sunday.

Algeria’s Culture Minister (right) welcomes Iran’s First Lady, Mrs. Ahmadinejad (third from left), and the wives of several Iranian cabinet ministers on their brief visit to Algiers on Saturday. They were part of the Iranian delegation, led by Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, travelling to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly.

Mrs. Ahmadinejad rarely makes public appearances.
