Tehran, Iran, May 24 – Iran’s Defence Minister issued a stark warning to the Western powers that it would resist and retaliate to any attacks on its soil.

“Relying on its Army, Revolutionary Guards, and the State Security Forces under the command of the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces (Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei), Islamic Iran will resist any threat with all its strength and give a powerful response to its enemies and aggressors”, Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar said on Wednesday.

His remarks were reported by the official news agency IRNA.
