Tehran, Iran, Feb. 25 – Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Sunday that Tehran will not halt its uranium enrichment activities, the official news agency IRNA reported.

Mottaki made the remarks in an address to the University of Science and Technology.

In reference to the recent report on Iran by the head of the UN’s nuclear watchdog Mohamed ElBaradei, which indicated that the Islamic Republic has continued enriching uranium, Mottaki said that Tehran will not be ending its enrichment program, IRNA said.

IRNA added that Mottaki also affirmed that the policies of the West were “doomed to fail.
