Tehran, Iran, Mar. 05 – Iran’s Islamic Revolution is at a sensitive crossroad, the commandant of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Wednesday.

“We are at a sensitive crossroad in the history of Islam and the Revolution”, Major General Mohammad-Ali Ja’afari said, adding that the IRGC must defend the values of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. His comments to a number of IRGC commanders were carried by the official news agency IRNA.

“We Revolutionary Guards and Bassijis, as the defenders and protectors of the Islamic Revolution, are obligated to bring about the holy goals of the Imam [Khomeini”> including exporting the Islamic Revolution all over the world”, Ja’afari was quoted as saying by the government-run news agency ISNA.

Referring to the presence of U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, the IRGC commandant said that the “Global Arrogance”, or United States, would not dare carry out a military attack on Iran.

“The enemies of Islam are threatening the Islamic administration with all their economic, cultural, and social capabilities”, he said, adding that the IRGC would “dispel the plots of the enemies”.
