Tehran, Iran, Dec. 30 – A riot broke out in the Iranian capital, Tehran, after a football match, leaving dozens of buses badly damaged.

The protests began soon after Shiraz’s Fajr team beat Persepolis 4-2 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium. Protestors ransacked the buses, smashing their windows with sticks and stones.

Shattered glass and demolished bus seats lined the highway leading from the stadium to the nearby city of Karaj.
