Bush told an audience in Freedom House in the U.S. capital that he was concerned about Irans efforts to influence the formation of the [Iraqi”> government.
He said that the U.S. was deeply concerned about whether or not the Iranians have the wherewithal and the knowledge about building a nuclear weapon.
Now is the time to deal with these problems before they become acute, he said.
I’m troubled by a non-transparent regime having a weapon which could be used to blackmail freedom-loving nations. I’m troubled by a president who has declared his intentions to destroy our ally Israel. And we need to take these admonitions and these threats very seriously in order to keep the peace, Bush added.
