Tehran, Iran, Aug. 02 – An Iranian man was killed by pirates in Iraqi waters, the government-run news agency Fars reported.

Fars quoted on Tuesday a senior Iranian armed forces official in the south of the country as saying that Iraqi pirates attacked an Iranian boat three times, killing one person on board. They stole a number of documents in the boat, the report said.

The attacks took place in the Iraqi waters of Khur Abdullah.
