Irans Education Ministry has announced that the country has more that 14.1 million school pupils, a one percent decrease from the number of schoolchildren in 2005.
Earlier this week, Tehran police chief Brigadier General Morteza Talai announced the formation of a new Youth Police which will be present in schools across the Iranian capital.
The Education Ministry has also announced a ban on male teachers from teaching in all-girls schools.
The new regulations will take effect from the beginning of the new academic year, Irans deputy Education Minister said.
