Tehran, Iran, Dec. 04 – Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned on Sunday Switzerland’s charge d’affaires in Tehran to protest police brutality in the United States against an Iranian student.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry said that the director of its First Office for American Affairs Ali Akbar Rezai “strongly protested” the conduct of U.S. police against Mostafa Tabatabai Nezhad, an Iranian student in California University.

Switzerland represents U.S. interests in Iran since Washington broke off diplomatic relations with Tehran in 1980.
