Reuters: Britain urged Iran to “come clean” about its nuclear program on Thursday and repeated a threat to pursue further U.N. and European Union sanctions. LONDON (Reuters) – Britain urged Iran to “come clean” about its nuclear program on Thursday and repeated a threat to pursue further U.N. and European Union sanctions.

Responding to a United Nations report on Iranian nuclear activity, Britain’s Foreign Office said: “If Iran wants to restore trust in its program it must come clean on all outstanding issues without delay.”

It said it would study the report carefully. “However … if (EU foreign policy chief) Javier Solana’s talks with the Iranians do not show a positive outcome … we will pursue further Security Council and EU sanctions.”
