BERLIN, Jan 22 (Reuters) – A new draft U.N. Security Council resolution on Iran’s disputed nuclear programme agreed by world powers on Tuesday will increase the number of travel bans and asset freezes, a senior U.S. official said on Tuesday.

“It increases the severity of the sanctions, increases travel bans and asset freezes,” said the official, who asked not to be identified by name.

“The U.S. is pleased as this tells the Iranians that they are not out of the woods yet,” the official added. (Reporting by Sue Pleming, writing by Iain Rogers)
