Feb. 8 (Bloomberg) — Iran plans to start construction work on a second nuclear power station “in the near future,” Interfax reported, citing Iranian Ambassador Gholamreza Ansari.

The new reactor will have a capacity of 300 megawatts, the news service cited the diplomat as saying in Moscow today.

The country is also ready to invest billions of dollars in making nuclear fuel for its plants if other countries refuse to supply it, the ambassador said, according to Interfax.
