TEHERAN – Iran and the European Union trio of Germany, Britain and France will meet on 10 April to resume negotiations on Iran’s nuclear programme, the deputy of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said on Wednesday.

Iran-EU nuclear talks have been pending since 23 March as both sides try to reach a consensus in the dispute over uranium enrichment.

While the EU wants Iran to cease or at least extend suspension of its uranium enrichment process, Teheran is only willing to continue suspension until the end of March or at the latest June this year.

Mohammad Saaidi told the news agency ISNA that Iran’s nuclear delegation was to meet on 10 April probably in Geneva with

representatives of Britain, France and Germany to examine new proposals put forward by Iran.

The results would then be presented to Teheran for a final decision on continuing the talks or not, he added.
