TEHRAN, Iran – A top Iranian official says the country has told the U-N’s nuclear watchdog it will resume some nuclear activities.

He tells state-run radio, Iran has asked the International Atomic Energy Agency to instruct its inspectors to break the seals at a nuclear conversion facility so technicians can restart uranium reprocessing.

This comes right after Iran gave European negotiators just a few hours to make their proposals for incentives to Tehran before the country resumes its activities.

Britain, Germany and France have led the European bargaining with Iran aimed at persuading Tehran to permanently end parts of its nuclear program, especially its uranium enrichment work. Iranian officials have been increasingly impatient with the slow pace of the negotiations but say they have no intention of cutting off the talks.
