AFP: An Iranian opposition leader on Monday accused Tehran of secretly building missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads. WASHINGTON, Nov 21 (AFP) – An Iranian opposition leader on Monday accused Tehran of secretly building missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

Alireza Jafarzadeh, former spokesman for the National Council of Resistance of Iran, said the Tehran government had built an elaborate system of “interrelated tunnels and other underground locations” at a secret site in the southeast of Tehran.

The complex was constructed, he said, with North Korean assistance.

“North Korean experts have cooperated with the regime in the design and building of this complex,” Jafarzadeh said at a Washington press conference.

The 500-strong NCRI considers itself the “parliament-in-exile” of the Iranian resistance.
