Tehran, Iran, May 26 – Obtaining nuclear capabilities has transformed Iran into a world power, hard-line Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said. His comments were reported by the official news agency on Thursday.

“The ability to influence the international landscape gives a country the status of a world power”, Ahmadinejad said.

“Today, with the Islamic Republic of Iran having obtained peaceful nuclear technology, the international landscape has changed and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been transformed into an influential power”, he said.

“Despite propaganda by the Arrogance (West), nations all over the world are increasingly becoming prepared to accept the great goals of the Iranian people’s revolution”, he added.
