Tehran, Iran, Dec. 19 Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic had obtained nuclear capabilities.
“We are now a nuclear capable [state”>. This means that the file [over our nuclear activities”> must be closed”, Mottaki told reporters following a meeting with a Vietnamese Foreign Ministry official in Tehran. His comments were reported in the state-run news agency ISNA.
Earlier this year, the UN Security Council demanded Tehran freeze all its uranium enrichment activities. Tehran has rejected this demand.
