KUWAIT, Kuwait, June 14 (UPI) — The Iranian government says it has nothing to do with a group that reportedly has threatened the United Arab Emirates embassy in Iraq.

Iran's embassy in Kuwait issued an official statement Saturday denying any association with a group calling itself "Walli Allah," which reportedly has asserted it is part of Iran's revolutionary guard and has threatened harm to the UAE's Iraq embassy, the Kuwait Times said.

The newspaper said Iran has called reports of an association with "Walli Allah" "fabricated," adding that Iran says it is only interested in maintaining stability in Iraq.
