Tehran, Iran, Apr. 09 – Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Rangeen Dadfar Spanta travelled to Iran on Monday for an official visit, the official Iranian news agency IRNA reported.

The report said that the two-day visit is aimed at exploring avenues to bolster Tehran-Kabul ties.

Spanta plans to hold talks with Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Chairman of the State Expediency Council Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Interior Minister Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi, and Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani.
