Tehran, Iran, Aug. 12 – Iranian authorities hanged a man in public in the northern province of Mazandaran, state media reported on Sunday.

The man, identified only by his first name Taqi, was hanged in a public square in the town of Bablosar, the state-run daily Etemaad Melli wrote.

He was accused of murder.
