Flights from Iran capital put on hold due to severe snowfall

Tehran, Iran, Jan. 03 – Nearly two dozen domestic flights in Iran were cancelled on Thursday due to severe snow in and around the Iranian capital Tehran.

Homa Airlines flights from Tehran to Mashad (north-east Iran), Tabriz (north-west Iran), and Bushehr (south-west Iran) have been suspended, the government-owned news agency Fars said.

More than a dozen other domestic flights from the capital have been re-scheduled for later in the day.
