Malaysia Petronas keen on Iran, posts record profit

ImageKUALA LUMPUR, July 15 (Reuters) – Malaysian state-oil-firm Petroliam Nasional (Petronas) is still interested in investing in Iran although it is assessing its involvement in the Pars LNG project due to rising costs, Chief Executive Officer Hassan Marican said.

Petronas posted a net profit of $18.1 billion for the 2007/2008 year compared with $12.9 billion a year ago, Hassan said. (Reporting by Faisal Aziz)
