Sept. 23 (Bloomberg) — Iran Air, the country's state-owned airline, will cancel its direct flights to Tokyo from next month after 33 years of service, Iran Daily reported, citing a company official.
The flights will be scrapped due to losses from the rising cost of fuel and visa restrictions for Iranians, Saeed Qaderi, head of Iran's Air's regional office for Japan and South Korea, said according to the newspaper.
The Tokyo flights will be canceled from Oct. 26, it said.
