Reuters: India and Iran have not yet resolved an impasse over settlement of payments, three Indian industry sources familiar with the matter said on Friday, contradicting reported comments by Iran’s deputy oil minister.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) – India and Iran have not yet resolved an impasse over settlement of payments, three Indian industry sources familiar with the matter said on Friday, contradicting reported comments by Iran’s deputy oil minister.

The talks will continue, all three sources said.

“The impasse continues,” said one of the sources, who was present at a meeting in Mumbai between Indian and Iranian central bankers and officials to try settle the dispute.

Earlier, Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency had quoted Ahmad Khaledi as saying the dispute had been resolved.
