This Tuesday France warned the UN that “insufficient” progress is being made towards forming a nuclear deal that is said to take place between Iran and the six World Powers with specific conflict over the issues of research and development and the issue of the sanctions imposed on Iran by the west.

“Iran must now make difficult choices if it truly wishes to regain the trust of the international community,” stated French U.N. Ambassador Francois Delattre to a United Nations Security Council meeting on the topic of U.N. sanctions imposed on Iran. “We are determined to come to a solid agreement, which enables the establishment and guarantee in the long term of the exclusively peaceful aims of the Iranian nuclear program,” he said.

“Iran will need to show greater flexibility and take some tough decisions in the coming days if we are to achieve a deal.” Spoke Britain’s Deputy U.N. Ambassador Peter Wilson.

“There are still significant gaps and important choices that need to be made in these negotiations.” said the U.S. Deputy Ambassador David Pressman to the council. “We are working to see if we can get to a political framework by the end of March that addresses the major elements of a comprehensive deal,” he added.

Ali Khamenei who is the Supreme Leader of the clerical regime controlling Iran called for “Death to America” on Saturday, a day after President Barack Obama appealed to the regime to seize a historical opportunity to have a nuclear deal and keep peace in the region. Khamenei speaking to the crowd gathered in the city of Mashhad told them that his regime would not fall over to Western demands. In response the crowd started chants of “death to America” to which he responded in kind with “Of course yes, death to America, because America is the original source of this pressure.”

On the other end President Obama sent a message to all Iranians celebrating the Persian New Year this week, suggesting that talks could build on trust. Proclaiming it was up to Iran “to seize this moment and the possibilities that can bloom. “But Ali Khamenei told the crowd that “Negotiations with America are solely on the nuclear issue and nothing else.”

“We do not talk with U.S. over regional issues. In the regional issues, America’s goals are completely opposed to our goals.”

Khamenei’s demands also included a nuclear deal end with an end to the imposed economic sanctions on his regime at its outset rather that gradually as proposed by the United States and five other world powers that have had a say in the negotiations.
“Sanctions must be lifted immediately,” Khamenei said.
