Tehran, Iran, Sep. 02 Irans Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told a gathering of senior officials in Tehran on Friday that the Islamic world was both capable and had a duty to stand up to the United States.
America has earned a hideous image in the public opinion of Muslims because of its support for the blood-spilling Zionists, criminal actions in Iraq and Afghanistan, and pressures on Islamic peoples. The Islamic world can and must stand up to this expansionist power, Khamenei said, adding that Islamic peoples resented the U.S.
Khamenei accused Islamic reactionaries who blindly carry out attacks across the world of being possible spies of the United States, Britain, and Israel. We are very doubtful whether these groups or elements even exist or are in reality agents of Israeli, American, and British spy agencies which carry out such actions and take advantage of certain unaware people.
Irans Supreme Leader added that the West feared elections in Islamic countries despite their claim to support democracy. He added that the West had put its political, military, and economic might into containing the spread of Islam.
