Hojjatoleslam Gholam-Hossein Ebrahimi, the Friday prayers leader in the north-eastern city of Sabzevar, told worshippers that the sentences were carried out under Islamic law.
This action was a great religious service and a prayer to the Almighty, Ebrahimi said.
Islam is a mixture of laws which once carried out bring bliss for the world and the day of judgement, he added.
