Tehran, Iran, Apr. 24 – An agent of the State Security Forces, Iran’s paramilitary police, was killed and a second was injured during clashes with unknown assailants in the southern city of Shiraz, state-run media reported on Monday.

The incident occurred at 14:30 on Thursday as the agents were patrolling Shiraz’s district of Kawar.

Unknown armed assailants reportedly drove up to the agents in two vehicles –a Peugeot and a Saipa – and opened fire on them.
