Tehran, Iran, Apr. 23 – Authorities hanged a man in a prison in the town of Ahar, north-western Iran, on Monday, the official news agency IRNA reported.

The man, only identified as Firouz A., was hanged in the early hours of the day, the report said.

He was accused of murdering a woman in 2002.
