Tehran, Iran, Apr. 26 – Two men were hanged in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, the state-run daily Tehran Emrouz reported on Thursday.

The two men were identified only by their first names Ali and Reza.

They were hanged inside the prison on Wednesday, the report said, adding they were charged with drug trafficking.

Iranian authorities routinely execute dissidents on bogus charges such as armed robbery and drug smuggling.
